Cheow Lan Lake Tour, Khao Sok National Park
Explore the Cheow Lan Lake, also known as Rajjaprabha Dam Reservoir, in the jungle by local long tail boat. The lake is surrounded by Limestone Mountains and cliffs covered in tropical rainforest that rise up from the shore of the lake and disappear into the far distance. The scenery has been compared to Guilin in China or Halong Bay in Vietnam. Few people know of the lake and even less has Visited it. There are over a hundred islands in the lake and it is over 60 km from north to south In the 70’s the area was a hide out for communists and students opposing the military dictatorship.
Activities: Jungle trekking, Relaxing, Swimming and kayaking in front the floating raft houses.
What to bring? Swim suite, towel, sun protection, a hat or cap and sun glasses, water proof, beg insects repellent, one set of dry clothes.
It is advisable to wear sandals with straps, shorts and a T-shirt. Training shoes are also OK.
The trails are easy going and you will get wet.
